How Roger can help

As your elected member of Parliament, Roger is here to help you and represent your views, no matter how you voted in the last election.

As long as you are a constituent, there are many ways in which Roger can make a difference, help you with a problem or point you in the right direction. If your not sure if Roger is your MP, follow this link and type your postcode in the search box.

MPs deal with a broad range of issues, but here are some examples of things Roger can and can't do to help:

Things Roger can do

  • Listen to your views on any local or national issue - your views are vitally important.
  • Represent the interests of Brecon and Radnorshie in the House of Commons and raise issues with the appropriate government minister.
  • Help you with problems on issues such as benefits, tax, pensions, asylum, visa applications, anti-social behaviour and unemployment.
  • Assist you if you have a complaint about maladministration by a government agency or the local council, or help you contact the ombudsman.
  • Where national and local government come together to provide resources and deliver services, collaborate with Powys county councillors and community councillors to help resolve problems,

Things Roger can't do

  • Roger is not a trained lawyer and is not qualified to give you legal advice. You may be entitled to free legal advice and we can help you find a lawyer.

If you are a resident of the Brecon and Radnorshire constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
