WILLIAMS WELCOMES POSITIVE JOBS NEWS IN KNIGHTON

Brecon & Radnorshire's Welsh Liberal Democrat Candidate Roger Williams has warmly welcomed the news that Benson Heating Ltd. in Knighton, which went in to administration in May 2009 at a cost of 73 jobs, has been taken over by the AmbiRad Group, restoring 40 jobs at the plant.

Commenting on the news, Roger Williams said:

" I am delighted to hear this news and very much hope that in time the firm will be able to increase the number of jobs at the plant. But this is a very good start and should secure the business for the future."

" As MP I worked with the management and administrators at Bensons over the past year to offer support and assist them, for example in dealing with Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs. I am also very pleased that the Welsh Assembly Government was able to offer assistance."
