Roger Williams, Welsh Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Brecon and Radnorshire, visited The Crescent, Llanelwedd, in recognition of the Llanelwedd Regeneration Group's succesful application to the Aggregates Level Sustainability Fund. The Group received a grant of £78,000 for community regeneration.

Roger Williams said:

"This money will be very welcome to the area and will help to increase the pride that residents already have in their community.

"I am always pleased to support local projects and was glad to be able to see at first hand the improvements that this scheme will bring to The Crescent. I hope that the new play area will be ready for local residents to make use of in the summer."

Tudor Griffith, Chairman of the Llanelwedd Regeneration Group, said:

"We applied to the Aggregates Levy for a grant of £78,000. We were delighted when this was accepted and we will be putting this money not only towards the playing area but also towards upgrading other areas of the community."

Local County Councillor, Maureen Mackenzie added:

" This is an excellent project and the grant is reward for the fine work the local regeneration group has put in to it. I am delighted they have been successful and I am sure the new play area and other community improvements will make a big difference to local residents' quality of life."

If you are a resident of the Brecon and Radnorshire constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
