WILLIAMS SECURES DEBATE ON ARMED FORCES VETERANS

Roger Williams, MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, has secured a Westminster Hall debate on armed forces veterans.

Commenting today on

"Armed Forces personnel risk the ultimate sacrifice when serving their country, yet when they return home the provision for health coverage, both physical and mental, are limited.

"If the issue wasn't so serious it would be laughable.

"The Government must ensure that the Military Covenant is maintained and that suitable facilities are available for Armed Forces Veterans.

"I will be raising these issues with the Minister during the debate and hope that I will get a commitment from him to improve the lot of these individuals who, all too often, are left to fend for themselves once their service is completed.

NOTES:

The debate will take place in Westminster Hall at 9:30am on Tuesday 21st April, for 1.5hrs
