WATER AUTHORITIES NEED TO SPEND MORE ON SEWAGE BREAKDOWNS - WILLIAMS

Following complaints about delays in response times to deal with sewer breakdowns in the Knighton area, Roger Williams, MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, will be contacting Powys County Council, Welsh Water and Severn Trent, with a view to putting into place a more prompt repair service.

Roger Williams said:

"Sewer breakdowns, either in a person's house or in a public area, cause great offence and much damage to the enjoyment of ones property.

"I have constantly advocated that water authorities spend more of their resources on improving sewers and this would be much appreciated by the general public.

"There are problems throughout the constituency regarding unadopted sewers and I will be taking this up with the relevant authorities."
